§ 34-6. Licensing and registration.

The Treasurer's office of the Township is hereby authorized and directed to issue bicycle licenses which, when issued, shall entitle the licensee, after securing a corresponding registration card and a license sticker, to operate the bicycle for which the license has been issued within the Township. The license record shall be in three parts; one part to be filed with the Police Department, one part to be given to the owner of the bicycle and one part to be filed with the Township Treasurer's office. There shall also be issued to the licensee a license sticker for the bicycle which shall be numbered. The number shall correspond to the numbers on the registration card and on the license. The Police Department shall keep a register showing the date of issue, to whom issued, the number of the sticker and any other pertinent information regarding the bicycle licenses issued by the Township Treasurer's office. The bicycle license sticker shall be attached upon the frame or rear fender of the bicycle and the sticker shall remain in effect until revoked. Whenever a sticker becomes illegible, it shall be replaced by a new one. No person shall operate a bicycle within the Township without a legible license sticker attached thereto.
